Q.Tell us about who you are & What you do?

Ja Gotcha is an East london based uk asian rapper who first came on the scene back in 2005

which won him demo of the month competition on the BBC Asian Network, and followed this by putting together and featuring on a 

huge collaboration with various Asian rappers on the uk remix of

the game's one blood.

I express what I mean and do whatever I feel to reach out to a worldwide audience

Q. Do you Write Your Own Material?

I have always been inspired to write my own material and put my own personal experiences to paper

Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?

Diamond in the dirt will be Ja Gotcha's first official mixtape release which will also

feature the debut single 'WE CAN' produced by e1seven, also collaborations from

leicester based producer June 25th productions aswell as other upcoming local artists.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I have no expectations and sky's the limit

Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?

Nas has always influenced my music his lyrical content and delivery is one off the greatest of all time,

from old school nas and the illmatic album through to his most recent projects

and also another artist who has struggled and reached stardom is eminem, and the way his taken to the hiphop

world the energy he brings on a record along with his wordplay is something which inspires me to a great extent.

Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?

both I'm very open minded good music is good music regardless where it is originated, im here to represent

the uk as that is where i am from.

dmx, method man, red man, ludacris, the game, junior reid, jadakiss, styles p, timberland, swizz beats, lupe fiasco,

talib kweli, fabulous, klashnekoff, sway, kano, giggs, demarco.. i listen to many artist across different genres

too many to mention

Q:Who influences your music?

my music is influenced by life and what life has taught me and others around me, from everyday struggles through

to romance every experience off life has its own story which allow me to express a wide range of concepts.
