RAKEL SALAZAR
Rakel Salazar is a singer, songwriter and producer, born and raised in Barcelona (Spain). Early on in life she discovered her passion for music.
Her training began as a dancer which soon developed into a professional career.
It was through the dance world that she began her career as a singer. She studied and graduated in JAZZ and MODERN MUSIC by L’aula, Conservatori del Liceu (4 years program, Berklee international Network).
Rakel moved to Amsterdam where she was coached by jazz singer Deborah J. Carter.
She has performed as a soloist and backing vocalist in various projects around Europe, always accompanied by talented musicians. With her versatility and musicality, her performances have always been very successful.
Currently Rakel is promoting her first album "Confessions in A´dam".
This music talks about real life: love, pain, weakness, dreams, human relationships. Rakel´s music is a stylistic fusion: "When people ask me about the style of this album, I can´t define it just in one word. It´s a personal equation resulting from my musical identity, with unique proportions of SOUL, FUNK, JAZZ, HIP HOP and POP. I don´t think about styles. I just think about what kind of color I want in each song, in each message I share".
