very passionate about bringing the essence of live music back to the streets and hometowns by leading by example; both within her own music and teaching others the basic skills of guitar and song writing (skills in which she picked up within her years of singing).
She began self taught skills on the guitar within her college days, heavily backed up with years of therory and confidence in the chosen arts. That and song writing from the age of 12 has allowed many years of entertainers, members of the community and more recently events such as; The Flyover Show 2010, RichMix Presents BrixLane Remixed (an event in which she hosted and performed) 2010, many years of library theatre shows, Town Hall performances and various gigs streatching as far as Crawley, Manchester and London.
Unique hopes one day to have produced a novel (as a keen writer also) and to hopefully have an oppurtunity to reach performing at stages of 1000's and touring abroad for music, not only to show local members of her community and fans that music can not only be an aspiration but i loving breathing career to throughly take beyond expectations, but to personally encourage the lack of female artists keen to be taken seriously within male dominated field of GRIME (because of Unique's use of rap she has noticed) AND MUSICIANS IN GENERAL.
Cristisms such as "Put that instrument down, it does not like right on a woman" and "There are only 3 types of people that pick up an instrument; rockers, the homeless and the cenile" have been thrown at Unique.
Like many others, she has learnt do understand that many within her community, they have not seen or heard of such sight or sounds from a black female within Handsworth area, strapped with a guitar and love for music (especially one known for a trebble clef sign upon her cheek!!).
But as negatives break you, the positivity has brough through the yearn for us all to find what is truly UNIQUE about us!!
