It is safe to say that Lui Alandette, better known as Trew Uno, is meant for this. The California native was born in Culver City, to a mother and father of musical background. At a young age he was introduced to a wide variety of musical genres, helping develop a deep appreciation for music. At 12 he began skateboarding, and through this culture he found a love for Hip Hop. At the age of 15, he got into graffiti, and started writing Trew/True/Truth for the thrill of it. During his high school years, under the name TrewOne, he began freestyling along other aspiring emcees. It was during those years that this art became the most important part in his life. He spent every available time perfecting his laid back and witty flow, joining freestyles everywhere he went. In time he gained confidence and experience with every cypher, his charismatic personality commanding the attention of those around. In 2005, he began performing and recording with "The Illcentrics" until early 2008, when the group decided to go their own ways.
Soon after he began working on his first EP with Remy, a producer living in Norway. Signed to BelieveDigital, a European independent label, "One World To Another" was released on iTunes and Amazon late 2008. After the release of his EP, Trew began promoting his album, performing in various shows across the San Fernando Valley and Los Angeles. Trew remained with BelieveDigital until late 2009. 2010 brought exciting new changes for Trew and a fresh start. To pay homage to his Latin roots, changed the name to Trew Uno. He got together with Roka and Dj Arcane, two of his childhood friends, and started up the music collective StayBlunted#Hooliganz .
StayBlunted's finest collaborate for Trew Uno's mixtape titled "Adventures At The AlSPARQ". Producer JL.A. and Trew Uno join creative forces and give a glimpse into a#Hooliganz mind. It Features StayBlunted artists Dj Arcane and Roka. The mixtape is a prelude to Trew Uno's "After The Pain Comes Laughter", his first album release under the StayBlunted Music Group.
As today’s artists struggle to find their musical identity, Trew Uno and the SB#Hooliganz have a clear direction of where they’re going. Trew Uno is leading the #Hooliganzmovement out of North Hollywood city, and plans to represent his city to the fullest.
