Miracle ChildAbout the CD: Miracle Child is a CD in honor of Dean Alexander Maxey who is now a brilliant young toddler. He was born 9 weeks pre-mature and had a very rough start to his life. A portion of the proceeds from this CD are to benefit Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, who helped Dean become a miracle child and not a statistic. There are three types of compositions on this CD. There are soundscapes, instrument personifications and fun or dance tunes. They are geared toward children, however adults also like them. This is not Old McDonald remade. All compositions are fresh new and exciting. They are guaranteed to excite and satisfy children of all ages. They have been tested and have the Dean (Miracle Child) stamp of approval. It is exciting to see a toddler dance to music without knowing why he is doing it but can't help it.
The music is a blend of acoustical and synthesized sounds. Many of the instrument combinations are unique as to provide a fresh sound, and children are very adaptable to trying new things since everything is new to them. We hear everything from pan flutes, taiko drums, coco bean rattles, cimbalom, and alp horns to balalaikas, as well as traditional orchestral, and common band instruments. All of these are layered in between synthesizers in various places. Of course the very handsome and very charismatic child on the cover is Dean, "The Miracle Child"
About the composer: The composer Kerry Engle is the proud grandfather of Dean, "The Miracle Child". He studied guitar and music composition at The University of Memphis. He has many projects in play at this time. He has composed works for orchestra, chamber ensembles, solos, duets, choir and modern pop. In addition he has two concertos for guitar and orchestra available on the CD Electromagma I. A suite for guitar and a suite for harp are coming soon on CD. Also "Spas A Moment Music For Relaxation" is coming soon on Amazon. He currently has a large catalog licensed for commercial applications and is always adding more. He also has written one complete musical "Lysistrata" and has recently finished another, "The Amateur Sinner" in collaboration with Robert D. Carver and the late Aubrey Wisberg (of Hollywood screenplay fame).
This CD is geared toward children, but adults like it also. All tracks are original compositions by Kerry Engle.
A portion of the proceeds from this CD are to support Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. The staff from Le Bonheur helped save the life of the handsome and charismatic young man on the cover.
