The truth behind B-U

Words used to describe B-U are anointed, exciting, captivating, energetic, live, unified

Back in 2002 if you were to tell B-U (S. Bernard & Ursela Camille) that they would become the anointed husband and wife Christian rap team the Jesus has made them today; they would have probably laughed at you and said yeah right. When Jesus has spoken His plan for you, its up to you to walk in it. That is just what they did!

They met in a North Carolina studio in 2002 to only later to be united in marriage in 2005. During this time they were already in pursuance of their own careers in music; Ursela as the hip-hop artist FIN and S. Bernard as the R & B soloist RBP. Ursela Camille (then FIN) would share stages with artists Wyclef Jean, Ginuwine, DMX, Lil Kim, Lost Boys & Escape; just to name a few. S. Bernard (then RBP) would sing in local clubs and social events and worked on sharpening his production skills. Yet, being active members in the local church and hearing the Word of God reformed them to make a change in their individual lives altogether. S. Bernard re-dedicated his life and Ursela Camille dedicated her life to Jesus. During this time Jesus spoke to S. Bernard and told them to stop secular music and minister musically in gospel. With that being said they form the Christian rap group they are know as today, B-U.

B-U means being-used by Jesus the Christ.

Trusting GOD and being obedient in ministry, B-U has shared stages with Canton Jones, big AL, Papa San, Twinkie Clark of the Clark Sisters, Demetrius & James Hall just to name a few. Furthermore they won the Holy Hip-Hop Artist of the Year Award for the North Carolina Gospel Announcers Guild for the year 2008. Since then, B-U has received 2 Rhythm of Gospel Award nominations in 2009, (2) 2010 Independent/ Inspirational Gospel Music Award (IGMA) nominations and is a two time winner of the 2010 Rhythm of Gospel Award. They are winners in 2 out of 3 categories they were nominated for. B-U won the categories, Holy Hip Hop Group of the Year and Holy Hip Hop Song of the Year for the single, Righteous Know Why produced by S. Bernard.
B-Us main focus is telling the truth about Jesus Christ to the youth and young at heart as they continue to minister to all in their unique fashion that God has instilled in them. Their ministry is based on this quote:
This we do for Christ!
