Q.Tell us about who you are & What you do?

We are The Science of the Lamps; a trio who also work with collaborators; two Norwegian singer/songwriters and a scouser based in Liverpool. We play alternative and slightly epic pop with rock, blues and a focus on lyrics.

Q: Describe your Music in 5 words

Lyrical, quirky, melodic, epic and catchy.

Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?

Lots of exciting things coming up: We are playing a gig on the 22nd in a a cinema, which we are excited about, then there's a gig at our favourite venue; Kazimier on the 4th November. All culminating in recording an album over Christmas. Two of our songs; '27 Club Reject' and 'Mr Agony' are released as a double sided single on the 1st of November.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

Hopefully touring our second album and playing with a full band set up.

Q: Where do you get your inspiration from? Q:Who influences your music? Everything!

poetry, film scores, Norwegian Folk Music, rock, industrial sounds, nature, wine, flamenco, slam poetry, soul, folk, rhytm’n’blues, drum’n’bass, music boxes, metal, goth and whiskey. Or whatever comes out when we come together

Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?

We listen to music from all corners of the world really..

Q:What Artist do you listen to?

At the moment loving Jonas Alaska, but generally we have many favourites: Nina Simone, Pink Floyd, Damien Rice, Warpaint, Bon Iver, Tori Amos, Counting Crows, Kemopetrol, Bob Dylan, The Doors really all sorts!

Q: Please describe your fashion style in 5 words?

Dramatic, fun, elegant, offbeat and experimental
