London Fashion Week reveals exciting new presenter

London Fashion Week reveals exciting new presenterThe program of events for London Fashion Week for spring/summer 2012 has taken an exciting turn after it emerged that the popular new designer, Tom Ford, will be presenting a show during the seven days of frantic fashion activity.

Mr Ford has enjoyed a massive growth in popularity in recent times with his designs being very popular with a whole host of big-name stars.

He first surprised the fashion world with a very understated New York presentation of womenswear in September 2010, the first presentation he had made in over six years and speculation had been rife that the designer may target London for his next big show.

That rumour seemed to gain credence in February when he hosted a series of press appointments at his London showrooms.

It has now been confirmed that the latest Tom Ford collection will be unveiled in London on Sunday 18th September; the first time the designer has brought his show to London and an event which will surely be one of the highlights in a glitzy week.

The decision by Ford to show in London is seen as a major coup for British Fashion Week organisers and further enhances the city’s glowing status amongst the iconic fashion cities of Paris, Milan and New York, amongst others.

Fans are hopeful that Ford will introduce a similar show to his previous one in New York, where the designer persuaded the likes of Beyonce, Daphne Guinness, Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and Lauren Hutton to don his clothes for the show.

Ward will not be alone in making his debut at the London show with off-the-cuff Australian label Willow also debuting alongside Emilia Wickstead and Fred Butler.
