Let James Introduce to - Shakinouts

Shakinouts are a 5 piece dirty pop band from West Yorkshire who formed in 2009. In the two years since formation we have spent the majority of the time in the darkness writing and recording songs, only stepping out on a number of occasions including - to support Shed Seven on an academy tour, to play Party in the Park in Yorkshire to over 20,000 people, to appear on BBC1's Look North's Christmas show playing live and to headline a Leeds show to over 400 people in April 2011.

Shakinouts consider the current charts to be over run by factory pop, machine driven dullness, pop stars who look like they don't care less about the music. We have a recurring nightmare that children will grow up not knowing the importance of bands writing music and speaking out, that mainsteam social commentary will be left to only the tabloid press, that kids will no longer dance down discos and fall in and out of love in the length of a pop song...

Music means the world to us. Music is our religion. Music is our revolution.
