Jeni Piece has been passionate about music for as long as she can remember. In her words, she strives to make music that is daring, fresh, and above all, empowering. The enthusiasm that she exudes, combined with a big voice that she has been refining since she sang in church at the age of five, produces music that has an energetic and lyrical pop sensibility. The memorable hooks and big beats are immediately engaging, but it soon becomes apparent that there are real stories from her life that she wants to share.
Jeni had a fairly normal childhood growing up with 7 brothers and sisters in Utah. Music was a constant part of her life, and she was soon performing at professional hockey and football games, as well as winning statewide singing competitions. Everything changed at age 13 when her mom suffered a brain Aneurysm that nearly took her life. This event led to some difficult years where music had to take a back seat. After graduating from high school she made the decision to pour her energies into music and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a singing career.
Jeni’s music relates the stories of her life and the hardships that she has faced, and most importantly, the power to be mentally and physically strong in the face of adversity. It is a refreshing combination of honest story telling mixed with youthful, dynamic pop energy. Jeni is currently working on recording her debut record with producers Rob Waz and Mark Rodriguez in Los Angeles at 52nd Street Productions, and performing throughout the Los Angeles area.
