We are a fourpiece London based indie rock band called Crystal Seagulls.

We range between the ages of 19 and 22

Q. What makes your Voice Stand Out from other Artists?
If by other artists, you mean every other 'singer' or 'band' being ruminated onto the radio at exactly 140 bpm, we write songs that actually mean something to people, and which funnily enough sound pretty good too (so we're told;). Also we have two lead singers, so harmonies galore!
Q. Do you Write Your Own Material?
All of it. One of us will have an idea, run it by the others, and if they like it, great, but we have an agreement to be brutally honest with each other, and if a song isn't liked by all 4 of us, then we leave it. Seems to be working so far!
Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?
We were recently in Birmingham (John's home town) where we recorded two tracks which we are currently producing ourselves. We're also drafting ideas for a video, which like the recordings we will do ourselves. Obviously we're constantly gigging, but we always make sure that the creative process within the band always has room to breathe amongst the hubbub of everything else.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Probably in a dark cave somewhere in Mongolia insanely muttering nonsense to ourselves whilst rubbing vaseline onto each other's backs. OR...headlining a huge festival and playing to thousands of happy people maaaan. Haven't decided which yet though...
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
From literally everything! It might well be listening to a song by The Kinks, or a rap by Jay Z or even just sitting in a cafe watching people walking past.
Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?
Both have their merits, and the whole band will chop and change between the two, but since we're a UK band, I guess if we had to vote we would say Eastern European electronica!
Q:What Artist do you listen to?
Oooh, everything under the sun...been listening to a lot of Tame Impala recently, but also rediscovered a love for Aretha Franklin, what a voice!
Q:Who influences your music?
As before, we listen to everything, but in previous reviews by others, in terms of what we sound like, we've had: The Beatles, The Kinks, The Small Faces, The Libertines, Bombay Bicycle Club, The Allah Las amongst many others!

British, Mod, Rocker, Indie, non-uniform
