The band bio:
The YuYa are Constance Dalrymple and Eliseo Soardi, formed in 2008 after a chance meeting at a fancy dress wedding and take their name from the Japanese boys name meaning "100 nights". They play acoustic fuelled, avant-garde, toe-tapping indie-folk music.

Since their first gig in Kilburn they have played over 200 shows across the UK, Europe and Africa, including a Festival in Casamance, Senegal.

After signing to Day Job Records in early 2011, they soon released their debut single "naked" on download and limited edition 7" vinyl to instant critical acclaim.

Their debut album, A Boy, A Queen and A Fish, was recorded at Jamboree Studios in the beautiful town of Teatro Pieve di Ledro in Italy and is due for release on 24 September 2012. There has been two singles from the album, "It's Better" and "Kill Lucy", both of which are currently available to buy on download.

How do you best describe hearing The YuYa for the first time? "...my god it was amazing, like I was hit by a frying pan..." according to BBC London, have a listen and see what you think.

Press release for the album is attached.
