TRUTH one of the most underrated Hip Hop artists in the UK right now is proving that he will be remaining in the shadows no more!
An Indian rapper and producer, born in Kenya and relocated to Brighton in the early 90’s, Truth then began his journey into Hip Hop. After dominating the South Coast and founding BOE with Grammy award winning producer Harmony (Chris Brown, Maroon 5, Mary J Blige, Chipmunk, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson, Jermaine Riley) he relocated again to LA after they were both signed toRodney ‘Dark Child’ Jerkins. TRUTH continued to hone in on his rap skills, which led Diddypersonally inviting him to feature on the official remix of Hello Good Morning alongside Tinie Tempah, Tinchy Stryderand Chipmunk. His impact in the US prompted him to return to the UK, determined to make an impact there first.
Since his return his production placements include tracks for;Kalenna Harper (Diddy Dirty Money), Kurt Collins – Top Of The World, Vigilante – Gimmie Some Room, PakMan – Big Things, JaJa PDC – Prince Of Thieves, Pyrelli – Darkness and more.
The release of BKS (Best Kept Secret) shows that his stint in Diddy's camp has furthered his lyrical style and rich harmonic production. An overwhelming mix of musicality and emotion, BKS proves to be the future of UK hip hop, setting the bar for its transgression into the next stage.
Speaking on BKS TRUTH states “…The aim of BKS is to introduce what I do musically as well as lyrically. The reason I called the album BKS is because I feel that not enough people know everything I have done and achieved, so I wanted to create a project that I would be known for, not just singles and remixes, which is what most people associate me with. BKS is entirely my project, it’s my sound and features artists that I wanted to feature. It’s a very personal project...”
Featuring some of the biggest talents from within the UK and US including; Jermaine Riley, Kalenna Harper (Diddy Dirty Money) and Pyrelli, each adding their own dimension to the sound and feel of the album. Guaranteed to cater to a wide audience, from the story telling Nas- esque still of Susie’s Story to the rocky style of scramble, BKS is a beautiful mix of UK and US influences from a multifaceted talent.
