A hot new duo is emerging into the West coast hip hop game, bringing their arsenal of rhymes and talent to form a powerhouse team which threatens to take over the entire Golden State. Hailing from Northern California, G7 and Dean Martin bring nearly two decades of combined industry experience, appearing on a variety of mixtapes and records since 2001. Now an official part of the burgeoning rap label Seven Channel Music Group, the pair is launching a full-scale assault on the music business, beginning with debut first LP Fast Money.
Mixing a variety of influences from coast to coast, G7 and Dean Martin posses an attractive versatility in their music, creating a blend of laid back California swagger with thumping Southern beats. Drawing comparisons to megastars such as Jay-Z, Lil’ Wayne, Young Jeezy, and The Game, fans throughout California are quickly awakening to the sound of Fast Money. Capable of club bangers and silky smooth R&B hooks, their combined effect creates a record which aims to please everyone while becoming a relevant force in the hip hop game.
Following the steamy summertime release of Fast Money, the duo began hitting local clubs throughout the Bay area and beyond, performing electrifying sets while showcasing their raw live talent. From Level 5 Night Club in San Francisco to The Libertine in Los Angeles and The Alley in Reno, their influence continues to spread across the West coast and beyond.
As their initial success continues to mount, this pair of artists are working harder than ever, pouring their collective creativity into upcoming live performances and new releases. Their second record, Fast Lane, was just released on April 17, 2012 via iTunes as well as all of the other digital outlets. Fast Lane was also released in the physical form (CD) in Rasputins, Demples, and RapBay. Upon release The Fast Lane landed itself on the BILLBOARD Top 200 highlighted by the fiery single “Had Enough,” which features fellow rappers Erk tha Jerk and Radio 3000. Supported by a breakout music video on YouTube with over 35,000 views and increasing demand throughout internet radio channels, this fresh single is just a sign of things to come for G7 and Dean Martin.
