Q.Tell us about who you are & What you do?
We are alt rock band Stealing Wishes. The project was first conceived when Brit singer/songwriter xDeborah Jonesx met Texas rock guitarist and singer/songwriter David Zychek. The collaboration has been 2 years in development and as Stealing Wishes, we now proudly present the first single 'Letting Go Of You' written for us by Kirk Tatom of Deep Blue Something ('Breakfast At Tiffany's', 'Josey') and from our upcoming debut album, 'For The Beatless'.
Q: Describe your Music in 5 words
Rock as it should be.
Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?
We are busy promoting our new single, which is being released in the next few days in advance of our debut album, scheduled for release at the end of March. We are focusing our energy on getting STEALING WISHES into live venues for a tour of the US and UK.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Highly successful in our industry and with a great record company/management team behind us if it goes that way. Making hit music, playing for our beautiful audiences and hopefully gaining recognition for some great work from peers and fans alike.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
We both have our own channels of inspiration, but when it comes down to the blood sweat and tears stage, working together and inspiring one another becomes a big part of the create.
Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?
Definitely both. There are so many great bands out there, both the Brit and US rock scenes are amazing right now and so many bands fail to cross the Atlantic one way or the other. As we are exposed to both countries markets we get to experience it all.
Q:What Artist do you listen to?
David Zychek - Anders Osbourne, James Brown, Them Crooked Vultures
Deborah Jones - I listen to and enjoy music from so many artists and bands from The Beatles,The Rolling Stones, Ted Nugent and Deep Blue Something through to bands such as Foo Fighters and Kings Of Leon. I also love the strong female artists out there, and one of my all-time hero's, song writer Diane Warren has promised to write me a 'hit song when I make it big' :)
Q:Who influences your music?
People that we come into contact with and life experience is a big influence. That stuff comes out in the music, how could it not? You might end up immortalised infamously in one of our tunes :) Conversely that makes us great friends to have, imagine how cool we could make you look - have you heard our song 'Too Good'? :)
Q: Please describe your fashion style in 5 words?
Amazing designers, so little time :)
