PMG 2012 Mix-tape Competition Update

“PALACE 2012 MIX IT UP MIX-TAPE COMPETITION”.

Palace Music Group, LLC is currently running a PMG Mixtape Competition that will see the winner get the opportunity to distribute of your pre-recorded CD worldwide on the label. Anyone can enter, you just need to be a registered user on the www.palacemusicgroup.com site. The rules are pretty simple, too;

• Lay down a 3-5 tracks containing only your favorite of your pre recorded releases, selected from across your catalogue.

• Upload your tracks to mixtape@palacemusicgroup.com and name it Palace 2012 Mix It Up Mix-tape Competition

• All music must be submitted on a broadcast quality, 16 bit, 44.1 khz CDDA Audio CD or wav. Files. No compressed MP3 files.

Judging Criteria:

originality, songwriting, vocals, performance, Selection, Depth, Creativity, how the tracks sound sonically and overall likeability.

There will be two rounds of judging, the first round closes on the 31st of March and qualifying mixes will proceed to the final round which closes on the 30th of June. The winner will be announced.

All entries must be original music.

Remember to take your time, preparing and crafting your mix to industry standards!
If you wish to submit music that contains samples you must be absolutely certain that they are royalty-free and cleared for use. The best way is to send along a photocopy of the copyright agreement from the sample program.
