AMMO aka Lamar Sowell was born and raised in the tough city of Newark, New Jersey

in the mid 80's. Experimenting with his first lyrics at the tender age of 9. After being

inspired by Jay Z ,Stack Bundles, Biggie Smalls, and Joe Buddens, to be a rapper,

AMMO started to take rap serious at the age of 15 while he was in the 10th grade in

high school. Starting out as a battle rapper, AMMO defeated numerous amount of components during lunch time in school and in the school hallways. Becoming well

known for his battle skills AMMO quickly became a favorite amongst his peers. During

that time Ammo started a squad called Felony Faces with 2 of his classmates.

Sometimes people would even pay him just to rap a few lines for them. In 2009 AMMO

was introduced to Brick City Entertainment CEO Shanice Manderville, who quickly

signed him to a record deal. Since then AMMO has appeared on the NLAND

HOOLIGAN MIXTAPE and has experienced much success with hit singles "BIG

MONEY, "TURN IT UP" AND solo single "I DO IT". Busting out on the BREAK OUT

CHARTS at #8 and quickly moving up to the #3 slot. AMMO has been on numerous

online and terrestrial radio stations within the US and Overseas. AMMO finally has

sealed the deal with fans and are well acquainted with them after appearing on the #1

underground hip hop tv show "Who Mag?" TV. New talent on the rise out of the Brick

City, you can expect an album from AMMO this coming spring which will features

singles like "I DO IT" and "WEEKEND".
