Mitch and Murray started as a bedroom project and ended up as a full blown band. Currently signed up to the roster of Liverpool based Regular Beat Recording Co, and are on the verge of releasing their second album "A Sad Day For British Wrestling".
Back in 2003, Benjamin Jones was finding it hard to find an outlet for some of his musical urges. Though his noisier needs were vented elsewhere, his desire to explore the music of his youth (his father's folk collection, his interest in doowap and vocal groups, the various blues artists he'd been force-fed) and his own current tastes (Low, Galaxie 500, Red House Painters) was untapped. This managed to spill out into a few home recordings, which in turn ended up on the internet. Enter Regular Beat records and their 7" split EP "Extended Play". At this point Benjamin brought in Peter Coulthard to back him up on guitars and toy with some ideas. The second split EP, "Field Recordings" saw the addition of Paul Palmer who only added vocals but ended up as a drummer (despite not owning a kit at the time). Since then, the band have put out their first album "The Bleak End Starts Here" (the recording of which was haunted by mystery illnesses, exploding eyeballs and electrical buzzes from unknown orifices) and gone off on a tour around England.
Currently, a new line up are promoting the second download release "A Sad Day For British Wrestling" and writing a third album.
