The Good Evol is a California-based alternative rock band, known for their clever lyrics, catchy melodies, hooky rock riffs and energetic live show. They affectionately refer to their sound as "new wave meets nerd rock."
Their debut album, Butterfly Crush, has earned stellar reviews. Spin raves, "power-pop at its finest!" Indie Music Digest gushes, "amazing songwriting and top flight originality!" Skope says, "best new music I've heard...packed to the hilt with energy!" LA music critic, Bob Leggett, calls it "a true work of art... on my list of the Top 10 albums of 2011!"
Songwriting is a major focus of The Good Evol, earning them awards from such industry giants as VH1, Billboard and the John Lennon Song Contest. Billboard describes lead singer, Natalia Bortolotti, as "a master of songcraft with the vocal chops to match." Their songs are regularly featured in film and television, including FOX, ABC, CBS, NBC, MTV, VH1, CW and WB networks.
Natalia's songwriting partner, Scotty Smith, owns and operates White Rabbit Recording Studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. An award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist, Scotty doubles as producer for The Good Evol and plays all the instruments on the recordings.
On tour, Natalia and Scotty are joined by talented musicians and performers, including Steve Sicular (guitar), Derek Spreckelmeyer (keys) and Terry Thompson (drums).
