Harsh.TV Weekly Hotspot Features - Musicalsin

Goodbye, good luck, good ridden

Been inspired a bit by what’s going on around me and listening to friends. I guess it’s funny when you thought everything was all planned out, the new chapter has begun and then you realize that life still has that one unexpected twist.

People say things happen for a reason. But really, do they? People also say you have to make the best of it. I guess in all the negativity, it’s hard to see clearly. But when the smoke clears, do you really think, “I’m glad that happened” or do you still curse at yourself and think, “I’m a really unlucky person”?

I guess it’s all about perspective again, isn’t it? About seeing the glass half full or empty. When we’re down on our luck, we tend to feel that nothing can go right. The important thing is not to overwhelm yourself with those thoughts. One day, I wonder if we’ll look back on all these and laugh at how silly we felt to believe that it was that earth shattering or we could look back and wonder if that was the turning point in our lives.

I guess sometimes it’s easier to learn to know when it is time to close the door and move on. No point dwelling on the past and what could have been.

Goodbye, good luck, good ridden.

P/S: I’ve been working on a song that I’ve already written the lyrics to. But somehow I always envisioned the verses of the song more of a rap. I’m wondering if anybody is interested to collaborate on a song that we could subsequently release on iTunes/Amazon etc. Not sure how we would work out the finer details of this, but I’m keen to look for people who are interested to make this happen.
