Hello everyone,
I am looking for motivated individuals and professionals working in the music industry from France and Great Britain.
My idea is to hold a casting in Angers (a city located in France) to create a pop band. This band will consist of five singers and five musicians aged 17 to 25 years. The auditions could take place in a theater in early July. Potential candidates should send their information to an email address that will be mentioned and they will have to choose two songs from the set-list that will appear on the flyer. Huge advertising will be made by network so people from anywhere in France could participate.
If YOU would like, we could hold a casting too in London so the band could be composed of french and english individuals.
Each registrant will go to the specific location at the time indicated. Each seat will be numbered and candidates would have to find the number that corresponds to their seats. Before their performance, candidates will introduce themselves and they will have to answer some questions to let us know their real motivations. Since the theater has got more than 1200 sits, spectators could be present so we could see how the candidates are controlling their stress and themselves in front of a real crowd.Tickets will be sold 3 euros. It is a low price but it will definitely attract the population.
About the musicians, the casting will not proceed in the same way. They would have to send two videos and they will play the two tracks selected.
After the deliberations made, candidates will be contacted.
The aim will be to form the band during 8 or 9 months in London . I do think London will be a great location so they could improve their english and be in the heart of the music industry. They will learn how to work together, how to work their voices on different tracks and they will work on their first EP album.
My goal with this project is to give young people a chance of breaking into this environment and to be recognizing as real artists. I want them to believe in themselves and their talents and to let them know that they will have to work very hard because nothing will fall from the sky. Regardless of the studies they are doing or have done; regardless of their social position, only their talent will be judged.
I will help these individuals as a manager ( I am currently helping 5 artists: 4 from the USA and 1 band from Canada in their music career by contacting record labels, music supervisors, A&R, tour managers and festivals) because I have acquired some knowledge in the past in this area. I am great at organizing and I can easily adapt myself to all sorts of situations. For example, at the age of 16, I organized an event that took place in Paris Bercy November 26, 2009. I had to organize an event for 15,000 people. The aim of this event was to put up a paper during a song. Two days before the concert, the printing house contacted me and warned me that it would be impossible to print everything because they had a technical problem. I only had 48 hours to find a solution and I contacted more than 600 people via a website. Finally, everything went well.
I am currently helping severals artists in their music career by contacting music supervisors, record labels and festivals and I will be able to help with their work of art because I am able to write screenplays for music videos.
I am extremely determined and it has been two years this project is in my mind.
