About Aqualash...
Sydney-based Sarah Lorien and Michael Trifunovic have developed a truly unique musical identity, one that would sit comfortably in a playlist alongside artists such as Portishead, Morcheeba, Goldfrapp (circa 'Felt Mountain' or 'Seventh Tree'), Garbage, Radiohead, Astrid Gilberto, Florence and the Machine (Cosmic Love), PJ Harvey, Julie London, Leonard Cohen, KT Tunstall (Night Like Pepper, Throw Me A Rope) and Gillian Welch (Everything Is Free).

EP Release...
www.itunes.com/aqualashThe latest release for Aqualash is 'Blue Notes' - a four-track EP featuring the songs Blue, America, In Shadow and They Say Surrender. The name and cover art for the EP is a nod to the amazing Blue Notes jazz label which has given us so much joy and inspiration over many years.

2011 also marks the beginning of our work with two very special charities - the Australian INDIGENOUS LITERACY FOUNDATION and the UK-based STEPPING STONES NIGERIA. 30 percent of all online sales of the song Blue will be donated to them. See our Charities page for more details.

Spooky but fun...
HALLOWEEN 2010 was a lovely excuse to get spooky, and 'Bloodlust' was just the song to get spooky to.
Originally inspired by the many and increasingly attractive vampires starring in our popular culture these days, we enjoyed Bloodlust so much it was released as a single, just in time for October 31st. It's on iTunes if you'd like to keep it close... www.itunes.com/aqualash ....because we all know vampires are officially no longer restricted to moonlit and ghostly celebrations, so any night - or day - of the year is a good one to get your spook on. Did you know....? Vampire legends date back as far as Babylonian and Sumerian mythology!

We are currently working on a new release, we'll let you know more about that by the end of June, 2011. Thank you to everyone who has contacted us through Facebook ,Reverbnation and Twitter - putting the world-wide back into the web!
