Q.Tell us about who you are & What you do?
My name is Tom Acton, from Dublin. I am a Singer/Songwriter .
Up to now I have put out out 3 CD's of mainly original songs. Accompanied bytop award winning International musicians. My music style is Contemporary Folk Pop with a Celtic edge, combining Celtic influences with Pop.

Q: Describe your Music in 5 words
A: Emotional/ Inspired/ Original/ Imagery/ Direct.
Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?
A: recording a new CD for an Italian label. 12 original songs. Folk Pop style.
Writing script on commission for one act play for Theater Festival.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
A: At the top of my game. Hopefully a household name in my style.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
All over. I'm lucky to come from a great musical culture, Ireland. The country that gave us U2/ Van Morrision/ etc. Plus the great authors. James Joyce/ Samuel Beckett and many more. I am always aware of this, and hold these people up as an level to attain to, I find inspiration everywhere I go..melodies and stories are on the street, I just have to stay open and pick them up.
Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?
A: Very very difficult question..both, has to be my answer, which isn't the question, but I feel I cannot choose between the two, because they are so inextricably intertwined. One feeds off the other in musical terms. It's a two way affair, one inspiring the other non stop. I see the US holding the dominant slot for some time.
Q:What Artist do you listen to?
A: It varies from day to day. At the moment Rihanna/ Chelle Rae/ Maroon 5. I'm riding on the beat of these artists. Next week it can be someone entirely different. Late night I'm listening to TJ Kong & Nuno Dos Santos, Vocals carry a little of 'Massive Attack' I love it.
Q:Who influences your music?
A: No one artist in particular.I'm turned on from Classic music to Rap, shall we say.
And everything in between. But again I'd have to connect back to Ireland, the musical wave from here is awesome, music is the language we all understand, It is spoken everywhere.
Q: Please describe your fashion style in 5 words?
A: Casual/ Revolutionary/ informed/ theatrical/ creative
