Harsharan Does an Exclusive Interview with Zuby.

I first came across Zuby after following him on twitter for several weeks. His latest single/music video "Comin' At Ya" is already a favourite with many on Youtube and so I was lucky enough to catch up with Zuby for a little email Interview.

HARSHARAN: Tell us about who you are and what you do.

ZUBY: Zuby is different things to different people. Most people know me as a rapper but I’m also a consultant, independent label owner, event promoter, gym addict and certified personal trainer. No, I don’t sleep a lot!

HARSHARAN: Describe your music in 3 words

ZUBY: ‘Commercial underground hip-hop’

HARSHARAN: Describe your fashion style in 3 words

ZUBY: 'Black wife beaters…'

HARSHARAN: What is your current project(s) you are working on?

ZUBY: ‘Commercial Underground 2’ – my 3rd album. ‘Kushty’ - my monthly hip-hop night in Bournemouth and a whole bunch of upcoming gigs and new singles! 2011 is going to be a good year for Team Zuby.

HARSHARAN: How did you get started in music?

ZUBY: I made the transition from a fan to an artist about 5 years ago. It originally started out of boredom and curiosity but I discovered that I had a talent and haven’t looked back since. There’s no better way for me to express myself.

HARSHARAN: What artists inspire you?

ZUBY: Jay-Z is my favourite artist but I’m inspired by anyone who works hard to achieve their dreams and isn’t afraid to go against the grain, regardless of how hard it is.
