| | Two days to go until the official start of the ninth London Design Festival...... and with some venues already open there's already a lot to see. Final touches are being made to our Landmark Project installations which are already making big waves in the media. | | Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec: Textile FieldV&A / 17 - 25 SeptemberOffered the chance to create a design intervention almost anywhere in the V&A, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec chose the Raphael Court, built specifically to house seven enormous works by Italian painter Raphael. Working with the Danish textile design company Kvadrat, they have created a design intervention that radically alters visitors' ability to interact with the massive formal space and its artworks. As Erwan Bouroullec says, "The Raphael Cartoons are really important pieces, but in a way they are kind of difficult to look at because they’re from such a different time". It's going to be fascinating to see how the public use this re-invented space when it's open. You can sneak in early from tomorrow to get a look a look.More

An intense build over the last 24 hours overseen by Duncan Titmarsh, the UK's only LEGO Certified Professional, has fulfilled that dream and the Greenhouse, which draws inspiration from Covent Garden's history, is open from today.
