Centric
“Free at Last” a phrase that started as three simple words uttered through a young preacher became a prophetic dream that has come to realization with the birth of new leaders and our culture. It’s only right a producer from Oakland California with a name like Centric which by definition means “a central position” would be the beginning and center for a free at last movement.
Earlier this year he released his second compilation project named the “The Alter Ego” with promotions from two videos “Hear the Whispers” feat. Wordsmith and Dj Noah Ayala which has aired on youtube quickly approaching 8,000 views. The Second video off the album has an appearance from new rap phenomenon New Jersey native Trife. The album has features from Dj Young Cee(G-Unit), Big Noyd, D. Goode, A+, Kool G Rap which displays Centric’s beat versatility as well as his own new age hip hop quintessence.
In full swing Centric is not taking a rest he has worked with Canibus, Skillz, Kurtis Blow, Dipset and soon to be released collaboration with Sean Price the one half of duo Heltah Skeltah from Duck Down Records who brought classics nocturnal. Has also been busy with interviews on “West Radio Interview” and “Behind the Beats” as well and also working alongside rapper Sharp for a dedication song to fallen hip hop pioneer Guru formerly of Gangstarr called “Routine”. Centric has also been busy getting placements in MTV and Behind the Beats vol.1. Recently he has been selected by Apple Inc. who has reported revenue of over 28 billion for the third quarter for one of their clients for samples of his work for online streaming clips.
With a website he shares with his other members Cy Yung and Urban Truth that will prove he is building a chain of hits that prove at least on the instrumentals the west side is the best side. He also has his albums available for purchase online through Itunes and Amazon where others can only get an earshot on free downloadable sites. So now Christopher Louray Mandujan is now looking toward the future with a new vision and the vision is setting him apart inch by inch.
