NEON ADDING
![]()
Using bright neon colours this summer has taken its storm. Not only does it bring the ‘oo’ to the ‘laalaa’ to an outfit but it gives a fantastic edgy, retro and glam look which perfectly goes with the summer feel. HOT FACTOR: it has a way to fit into many peoples individual taste. Not everyone’s comfortable with wearing hot pink pants but using a hot pink clutch can look just as good. It’s all about experimenting with colours at your own level of style and confidence and bringing out that inner fashion soul. Kim Kardashian goes brave with a neon yellow shirt-dress!
COLOUR BLOCKING

If you’re not feeling the neon colours, no worries. Colour blocking is almost like bringing every club and beach from Ibiza into your life. HOT FACTOR: It’s versatile. You can pump it up with shocking colours or tone it down with neutrals. Think bright blues matched with hot pinks and sun yellow accessories. Or perhaps glam it a little with pale peaches, musty browns and cream yellow for an evening out? It’s hot, it’s chique, it’s what every summer-loving person needs right now. Reality star Stephanie Pratt looks gorgeous here; sasst in style!
PRINTS-MANIA

Hold on Ibiza, we prefer more of an exotic trip. Is that so? Well fill up your wardrobes with prints this summer! From divine animal, to polka dots and stripes, to florals. They’re everywhere and they’ve been in trend for a good number of seasons but we’re not ready to get rid of them yet! Summer ’11 brings us with more creative patterns to spice your outfit for a dinner date or for a simple but busy look for a good shopping trip with the girlies. HOT FACTOR: Prints are great because you can find them anywhere; bags, shoes, tops, blouses, skirts, dresses, jewellery – you name it! Either go all out and pick out a pretty floral/polka dot jumpsuit like Jenna Dewan or pair some leopard print heels to lift a simple outfit, just as J-Lo PRETTY PLEATS
![]()
We see a little 60’s returning back this summer with simple pleats. They create an elegant look and are super for casual days out as well as glamorous nights. The crimpled effect that some pleated dresses contain gives off a very sassy and vintage feel. HOT FACTOR: just because this is one trend, it doesn’t mean you can’t combine it with any other big-hit trends. There are many pleated dresses and skirts in the market which are bright coloured and look fantastic. Take a look at Olivia Palermo who goes for a double-gold star with a colour block and pleated maxi dress.
