Nitasha does an interview with The Graffiti Kings who are masters of all things graffiti

Nitasha does an interview with The Graffiti Kings who are masters of all things graffiti. Not only do they work on music videos, they also do film sets, murals, nightclubs and offices to name a few, as well as having clients such as Microsoft and Calvin Klein. What can't they do?! Well maybe the 'Quick Fire' round got them stomped, but you'll just have to read the interview to find out :)

How would you describe Graffiti Kings works?
THE BEST :) We are not like any other Graffiti company, we are the best at what we do at everyone else in the game knows this, all try to copy & most fail, some get close but thats not enough.

What inspires your graffiti?
Anything & everything, right now Im in my kitchen looking at the tiles & thinking hmmmmm I could use that in my art. Anything with shape and colour can trigger my brain into being creative, take last week, I was on the beach playing with seaweed?

For those who think graffiti is vandalism and not a form of expression, what would you say to them?
They are right it is vandalism if done illegal, its still a form of expression.

I have previously tried graffiti and made a horrible mess, it's a lot harder than it looks. What advice would you give someone wanting to learn this art form?
Its all down to one thing, the Cap, the white Cap on top of a spray can that you press down & paint comes out. You need to control the amout of paint that comes out, you do this by pressing down on the Cap softly for less paint or hard for more paint. Once you can master the pressure of a spray can your ready to go :)

Graffiti Kings covers everything from murals, music and film sets to restaurants and nightclubs but if there was anything you could graffiti on, anywhere in the world, what would it be?
Hmmmmm a early 70s New York subway car :)

Graffiti Kings work was recently featured in the music video Don't Go by Wretch 32. If you could have your graffiti work featured in any artists/bands music video, whose would it be and why?
It would have to be Lady Ga Ga, our art would realy fit her music.

Fox Movies asked Graffiti Kings to produce Street Art murals across the UK for the up-coming movie, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. For which movie would you have loved to produce Street Art for?
STAR WARS

Painting bedrooms is also part of the portfolio, with some amazing images on your website of Superman and Finding Nemo on whole walls. Firstly WOW! and secondly, what's the biggest scale of work ever produced by the Graffiti Kings?
Last year we was flown over to Dubai :) after we finished the job we was then told we could not publich the work :( it was 20 metres high & 100 metres wide and looked great.

How can a Graffiti King fan keep up-to-date with your work and latest news?
Keep an eye out for our blog http://graffitikings.co.uk/ or Facebook.
