The wedding of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince took place over the weekend. The event, nicknamed ‘Mosstonbury’, due to the couples’ rock & roll lifestyle, took place on Friday at Kate’s home in the Cotswolds. the event was star studded, with Kate’s old friend Mario Testino photographing the wedding, and Hince’s bandmate Alison Mosshart taking on the role of best (wo)man. The maid of honour role was taken by Trish Simonon, wife of The Clash bassist Paul Simonon. Other guests included John Galliano, Daphne Guinness, Anna Wintour, Jude Law, Marc Jacobs, Lara Stone, Kelly Osborne and Bobby Gillespie. The designers of the day were YSL, who designed bespoke suits for Hince and his best woman Mosshart, with the label confirming that Hince would be wearing two designs by them. The maid of honour Trish wore an Erdem dress, and the other bridesmaids wore dresses by Stella McCartney. Kate also wore three Stella McCartney creations, one for her first dance, a mini body-con dress for the rest of the party, and a white suit to go to the honeymoon. The wedding dress, however, was a John Galliano creation, which was vintage-inspired, slim-fitting, floor-length dress featuring a smattering of sequins and delicate sheer panelling. The dress received rave reviews, and, by all accounts, the wedding was an enjoyable occasion. The couple jetted off to their honeymoon in a helicopter yesterday. Here’s wishing them a happy future together.
