Now that Mercedes Benz Fashion Week S/S 2012 has come to an end, contributing photographer Taj Washington shares the cities most dapper individuals displaying their own twist on thelatest trends or timeless statement pieces. From thrift store finds to high end coveted pieces- New Yorkers weren’t afraid to play dress up whether it was with bold pops of color, sleek and tailored pieces or rocking the new black – animal print that shows no signs of slowing down whatsoever.

From season to season, animal prints have easily become the new black and as seen below – can spice up any outfit whether its worn with all black or to accent color.
