Selina: The Flying Saucer

I'm sure that many of you will have heard of 'The Flying Saucer' Blog created by University of Manchester student, Selina. Her ability to get me excited about River Island's version of those Miu Miu platforms and her continuous experimentation with nail designs is why she is one of my favourite fashion bloggers. Luckily, I was able to catch up with Selina and find out a bit more about who she is...

Harsharan Landa: So Selina, how long have you been blogging?
Selina: Around three and a half years.

HL: Can you describe your blog in 3 words?
S: Girly...Student...Fashion

HL: Why did you start a blog?
S: I'm always trying new trends and buying new things but had no one like-minded to share them with.

HL: How would you describe your personal style?
S: Very feminine and girly, always high waisted and fun, a little bit vintage.
HL: Do you have a favourite shop?
S: H&M for the fast stock turns and catwalk trends at reasonable prices, and great CSR policies.

HL: Do you have a style icon?
S: Too many to mention! Any girl that takes a chance but still looks natural.

HL: If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be and why?
S: On a beach somewhere gorgeous, I haven't had a summer holiday this year!

HL: What 3 essential items would you need if you were stuck on a desert island?
S: Chocolate, magazines, and probably suncream if I wanted to survive!

HL: What advice would you give to someone trying to make it in the fashion industry?
S: I can't talk from experience but I'd be polite to everyone you meet as every fashion medium is linked.

I urge you to pop over to Selina's blog now! x
