KOBI RELEASE DEBUT SINGLE ‘ALL THE WAY’
'One of the strongest pop/rock songs you’ve heard in years' - Highland News
The new single ‘All The Way’ from Highland-based KOBI is now available digitally.
Produced by Grammy Award winner Steve Orchard (Noel Gallagher, Travis, Paul McCartney) ‘All the Way’ finds KOBI in unashamed Pop territory, drawing on a love of 80’s acts like The Cars, The Blue Nile, Aztec Camera as much as contemporary acts such as Foals and The Arcade Fire.
It’s a single full of hooks and melodies and one that reflects the band’s extraordinarily diverse list of reference points and influences yet is ultimately all about the band's shared love of the classic three minute pop song.
Frontman Gary Thain said “The time is right to for us to unleash this track! We really embraced our pop sensibilities on this and have been blown away by the crowds reaction when we debuted the song as part of our live set”.
In their first year KOBI have picked up a growing support with shows at key Scottish venues such as King Tuts in Glasgow, The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen and Ironworks in Inverness. 2012 also saw the band play festival slots at Rockness (Clash Arena) and Belladrum Festival's main stage (which was broadcasted on BBC alba as part of their coverage of the Festival) as well as Brew at the Bog.
Having recently completed a series of promo dates for 'All The Way' KOBI are delighted to announce the following shows:
Friday May 17th Inverness IG:LU
Friday June 14th Glasgow King Tuts
Wednesday June 26th Death2Disco at Notting Hill Arts Club, London
