Having played in some of Ireland’s most prestigious venues along with appearances at Oxegen, The Sea Sessions and Vantastival in Ireland and as well as touring England and selling out venues in Canada, the band somehow found the time to fit in over 50 gigs in Ireland and record their debut album.

This infectious Irish ensemble, together since the summer of 2007, consists of vocalist John Brennan; guitarist, backing vocalist and songwriter Padar Mulvey; bassist Frany McGinn; keyboardist and backing vocalist Lizzy Oakes; and drummer Aidan Carolan.

With their own unique and clever style, the band’s main influences include The Pixies, Stone Roses, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, REM, Rory Gallagher, Oasis and the Prodigy. The Whatmans offer a superb energetic live show infused with great music and most of all great great songs. The Band can offer up to a 2 hour set with a the perfect mixture, of new fresh songs along with classic tunes to get the crowd going
