Q.Tell us about who you are & What you do?
How's it going? My name is Blake Clawson and I am the lead singer / rhythm guitarist for the rock / hard rock band BrokenRail, based out of Auburn, AL! We really strive to write meaningful songs through experience that we all have shared throughout our lives on the topics we write about. We mix in our own sound with that of the mainstream modern rock sound.
Q: Describe your Music in 5 words
Lively Meaningful Melodic Passionate Realistic
Q: What are your Current projects that you are working on?
We are gearing up for our 2nd EP release with former Creed bassist and Framing Hanley producer Brett Hestla. These are still unreleased at the moment but turned out great. We are hoping to use these songs to aid in getting investor funding for our debut album with Alter Bridge/Falling In Reverse producer Elvis Baskette early next year.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
I'm personally hoping to be touring internationally at that point. I'm unsure whether or not we would sign to a major label if offered, so it's hard to tell what direction we will take. Success to us though would be getting our music to a global market and getting to tour all the great places of the world.
Q: Where do you get your inspiration from?
This one's simple. Life! You can feel the emotion in most of our music and tell that we are reliving a moment of our lives through the song. Whether it be anger or hurt from a past relationship, sorrow for a friend lost, rage before a right, the song truly reflects that and we hope people can relate to it with their own lives.
Q: Who would you rather listen to UK or US Music?
I've never really gotten a chance to hear much UK Music. It's not that I don't want to, I've just been swarmed with the US genre's that influence us the most. So I'll have to say US.
Q:What Artist do you listen to?
Alter Bridge, Shinedown, Crossfade, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Nickelback, Creed, Saving Abel, 3 Doors Down, Skillet, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Puddle of Mudd, etc.
Q:Who influences your music?
All of the above are major influences on our style. We also combine years of other genre's different members have listened to in their past including metal, country, jazz, blues, etc.
Q: Please describe your fashion style in 5 words?
